If this story about electeds who tool an oath to take care of their city and are now decriminalizing domestic violence in the name of saving money is true, they should be immediately removed from office for failing to uphold their oath. They can’t think of a single other way to save money than to let people who beat up spouses or partners be allowed to beat up spouses and partners? Absolutely unforgivable.
How can a country that speaks about being exceptional make choices that fail and worsen circumstances and options for so many children? Talk about inside the beltway having a disconnect, and it’s not like these stories aren’t in DC.
